Registration procedure
ELIGIBILITY FOR NON-EU nationalities
Citizens of these countries may be admitted as a student in tuition to the following:
- document the citizenship of that state;
- present a diploma attesting to their qualifications for continuing the UPB;
- have an acceptance in principle of the UPB.
In order to enter the study will cover the following steps:
1. Pre-registration for getting letter of acceptance.
Pre-registration file will contain:
- Request for letter of acceptance for studies, in two site model attached UPB (http://www.pub.ro/ro/international/studentiinternationali.html)
- Certified copy of diploma including FOIA transcript (high school diploma or equivalent undergraduate enrollments respectively undergraduate degree or equivalent enrollments Master);
- Certified copy of birth certificate;
- Copy of passport;
- Medical certificate;
All documents must be accompanied by a certified translation into Romanian, English or French.
The applicant will submit the file to the Office “international student” of the UPB or we will send by post to:

After reviewing the file in the UPB, it will be submitted to the Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sports (MECI) will send the candidate of Letter of Acceptance.
2. If a favorable response, the applicant shall pay tuition in UPB account then will submit the documents to the Embassy of Romania in the country for study visa.
For the academic year 2010/2011 tuition fees to non-EU citizens are 2430 Euro / academic year (9 months x 270Euro/luna). Tuition is paid in one installment for the first year of study in two equal installments for the next many years of study, bank account UPB:

Staff of diplomatic missions in Romania (embassies, consular offices, businesses, organizations and international organizations) and their family members may be allowed to study free of charge on a bilateral document certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
3. After study visa student must enroll at Polytechnic University of Bucharest until October 15 of this year.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Foreign students can receive scholarships from different sources such as;
- scholarship granted by the Romanian state based on reciprocity included in bilateral cultural cooperation agreements
- scholarships awarded by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, for foreign students with outstanding results in previous study years in Romania
- scholarships awarded by UPB based competition.
all countries except those in the European Economic Area (the 27 EU member states, EU plus Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein) and Switzerland.
INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES TO ADMISSION nationalities European Economic Area or the Swiss Confederation
Citizens of these countries enjoy the same rights, are subject to the same conditions and pay the same fees as Romanian citizens.
‘Admission
Admission is organized UPB faculty, fields of study. Name fields and specializations, seats (without tax and fees) subject to the admission for each field and specialization and competition disciplines evidence made public by posting at the university and on the website.
Admission is accomplished by competition in two sessions:
- session in July (19-20 July 2010) in which written evidence to support two competition disciplines chosen by the candidate, for the specialty “Chemical Engineering” admission is based on marks in the transcript. Registration period July 9 to 17, 2010, at the Faculty (JE105 room), daily between 9 and 16.
- session in September (August 30 to September 9. 2010) organized to fill any vacant seats after the July session in which admission is based on excerpts from the transcript notes two competition disciplines chosen by the candidate.
Conditions of registration
Can apply for admission to high school graduates with baccalaureate degree (or its equivalent degree). The fee is 100 RON.
Recognizing that diploma by CNRED (National Council for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas) by issuing a certificate is required in advance. For recognition, candidates must submit to the Office “international student” UPB of a file containing the following documents:
- Completed application
- Certified copy of the Baccalaureate
- Certified copies of academic qualifications with transcripts related (for enrollment in master)
- Personal identification document (copy) passport (pages 1,2,3,4) / card.

Diploma recognition fee is 50 RON and can be paid by bank transfer or by postal Ministry’s account. Data required payment:

The certificate of diploma issued by CNRED will be sent to the Polytechnic University of Bucharest within 15 days.
After obtaining the certificate, the candidate will enroll in college secretariat with the following documents:
- application form (to be obtained from the Secretariat upon registration);
- 3 photos ID type;
- bill the fee (100 USD);
- medical certificate (showing he is medically fit for the field of study candidates);
birth certificate.
A candidate may compete in several specialties and many of the faculty of language pathways. Choices will be made upon registration.
Language skills
Candidates who have not completed previous studies in the department of foreign language language subjects must present a certificate of proficiency (level B2 according CERCLA) issued by competent bodies (eg TOEFL or Cambridge English for French DELF or DALF , Sprachdiplom or TestDaF for German).
Candidates who do not possess such a certificate you can get from the Department of Modern Languages at the University Politehnica of Bucharest, between the entries for admission, after a test is conducted on 15 July 2010.
SUBJECT OF COMPETITION
Chemical Engineering specialization: Admission is based on grades from transcripts without evidence of competition for the subjects:
- Mathematics or Organic Chemistry (M1)
- Inorganic Chemistry or Physics (M2)
For all other programs (specializations) argue auditions for the subjects:
- Algebra and calculus elements (M1)
- Physics and Geometry and Trigonometry (M2)
Written evidence
Written evidence will support in the form of multiple choice, on 19 and 20 July, at 10.
Subjects competition tests will be designed taking into consideration the syllabi of the subjects of the competition. Utterances topics are presented candidates in a contest QUESTIONNAIRE Romanian language or in the language of study for which the candidate has opted to enrollment. Each topic of the contest is accompanied by a set of answers, of which only one is correct.
In the sample, the candidates need to determine the correct response to each item in the contest and to mark the contest form by a sign “X”
Notes COMPETITION
For each candidate in the contest received a note (NC1, NC2 respectively) from 1 to 10. These are obtained from the evaluation of the written or as the average of the marks scored in FOIA transcript from high school, the two disciplines of competition.
Minimum scale for admission is that the arithmetic average of the competition to be at least 5.0 (five).
Ranking of the candidates (from abroad)
- Candidates are ranked in descending order of general average, MG arithmetic average of the two grades of competition: MG = (NC1 + NC2) / 2
- Treat candidates options for paths / faculty specializations as listed results, in order of priority established by the candidates at the time of registration.
This means that if you fill the seats next candidate for a qualification which indicated that the first option this specialization will be distributed according to his option next to that are still unoccupied. Then proceed to the processing options for the candidate who follows in descending order of overall average.
Successful candidates must be registered within 2 days after posting results of the faculty secretary.
OTHER
During the entrance exam in July, candidates get accommodation for a period of seven days in college dorms.
European Economic Area (EEA) includes the 27 member countries of the European Union (EU) plus Iceland, Norway and Lichtenstein.
